The Strength of Our Walk Community

By Roxanne Gossard, Director of Development, Washington State Chapter

Not only did you meet the Challenge but you blew past the goal, raising over $71,000 in match qualifying donations. With the amount you raised, $60,000 match and other donations last month your total investment in the fight against Alzheimer’s was more than $141,000 in the month of June.

Alzheimer’s is relentless, but so are all of you!

Over and over, I am amazed by the generosity of our community and your commitment to our shared mission. When a challenge is set before you…you step up to it. Thank you for participating is this historic Challenge, raising more money in the month of June than ever before! A special thank you to our incredible Challenge donors who pushed us all to reach for new heights in the fight against Alzheimer’s. Together you made a difference.

Gossard Kids
The generosity of our community has inspired my children to get involved and dream of a world without Alzheimer’s disease.

The dollars raised are incredible, but what really matters is what is accomplished with those dollars. That $141,000 means people across our Chapter service area are:

In addition to these and other critical support services helping people impacted by this devastating disease right now, those funds will also help to advance research toward finding methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure. You make all this possible.

Gossard Family
Our family will see you at the the Walk to End Alzheimer’s!

But we can’t stop now! We’re off to an amazing start for the 2016 Walk season. Let’s ride this wave of generosity, and keep going until we achieve our ultimate goals. We still need your help. My Walk team is registered and continuing to raise funds. There’s still time to register your Walk team and join the fun!

Keep spreading the word, share your “Why I Walk” story. Use social media, host bake sales. Every dollar, every cent and every donation will get us one step closer to a world without Alzheimer’s.

Thank you!

Roxanne Gossard
