For National Volunteer Week, we’re celebrating the talented, caring volunteers who contribute to our mission by delivering programs, funding research and supporting people affected by Alzheimer’s.

Walk Committee Member
Our committee members play an active role in the planning, team recruitment, team retention, and execution of the 16 Walks in communities across our service area. Committee members provide an invaluable link to their local community for our events team and are integral to the success of each Walk. Without our committees, there is no Walk to End Alzheimer’s!
Community Liaison Representative
Represent the Alzheimer’s Association across Washington and Northern Idaho at various health fairs, community events and social gatherings. Become trained in all of our resources and learn how to bring vital services and support to your community.
Donor Engagement Volunteer
As a Donor Engagement Volunteer your work will support all chapter programs and events while providing new opportunities for your professional growth. Learn the ins and outs of donor stewardship and help us foster our relationships with donors to ensure they feel appreciated. Learn how to share the impact of charitable donations through effective donor engagement strategies.
Speaker’s Bureau Volunteer
Passionate public speakers and educators are perfect for our Speakers Bureau Program. Our Speakers Bureau volunteers represent and promote the Alzheimer’s Association through presentations and attendance at community events. Speakers Bureau Volunteers are trained to deliver Alzheimer’s Association Educational Programs and help us expand our reach throughout Washington and Northern Idaho. Access to reliable transportation and public speaking skills are necessary for this position.
Support Group Facilitator
Our expertly trained facilitators lead support groups for family members, care partners and individuals living with Alzheimer’s or dementia. Our volunteers facilitate over 120 support groups in communities big and small across our service area. Support Groups provide assistance, emotional support and information on topics related to Alzheimer’s disease. Volunteer Support Group Facilitators are required to make a minimum one-year commitment.
The Longest Day Task Force
The Longest Day Team Task Force is a group of outgoing and energetic community volunteers who are willing to take on a one-year leadership role to assist in recruiting and mentoring teams for The Longest Day. On June 21, teams across the world participate in The Longest Day, an event to honor the strength, passion and endurance of those facing Alzheimer’s disease.
