Established in 2016, the Dementia Action Collaborative (DAC) is a coalition of public-private partners committed to preparing Washington State for the growth of the dementia population. The DAC has been a driving force behind many initiatives in Washington State, including but not limited to:
Dementia Roadmap
Designed to let people impacted by Alzheimer’s know what to expect, the Dementia Roadmap has become a go-to resource for caregivers and those who’ve been diagnosed.
Clinical Tools for Primary Care
The Brief Cognitive Screening Tools paper is meant to provide information and guidance around early detection of memory loss and dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease. A Clinical Provider Practice Tool offers guidance on detection, diagnosis, ongoing care and helpful resources.
Dementia-Friendly Communities
The DAC has worked with many local partners to foster the development of dementia-friendly communities in Washington state.
Alzheimer’s State Plan
The DAC has been vital in working toward implementation of the Alzheimer’s State Plan.
The DAC hosts two meetings each year that are open to the public. The next meeting will be September 26, 2018. Click here to learn more.
